I would recommend them to anyone and have already. They gave me a quote within a reasonable amount of time, booked the job quickly, and when they showed up did a great job! They were clean and picked up after they completed the job. Very professional and polite workers.
I live in Secane which is a part of Upper Darby PA. I had my cedar roof on my gazebo removed and replaced with new cedar shakes. They did an excellent job and when you consider the cost of cedar shakes, it was a fair price too. When I first made contact with Magic R&S, a man named Jesse (who was born in America) came to my house and gave me an estimate of $1,900. I thought the company was owned by an English speaking firm. Considering that this was the only contractor who wanted to do this type of work, I accepted the offer. I waited a year until signing the contract and they came out on June 14, 2017. The reason why so many people have given lousy reviews is simple. Only one person I talked to had a grasp of the English language and that was the owner's brother Stephen. Luis and his brother Stephen were born in Costa Rica. Getting back to the workmanship of the replacement of the cedar shakes, all I can do is praise their workmanship. Housing shingles are relatively simple to set and nail down. Cedar, on the other hand requires very careful lining up, cutting off the excess with a utility knife or circular saw and nailing it down in place. Cedar is also expensive so a lot of the material ends up getting wasted. Should you have Magic R&S do your next project? If you have a project like mine where no one else wants to do it, then by all means call them. But if you can find a contractor where there is no language barrier, then I would suggest looking elsewhere. Magic R&S needs an office worker and estimator like Stephen who is bilingual. Cheers! Everything was great except that he did not show up when he said he would to give an estimate and did not call until much later. However, to do the job, they came right when expected and worked quickly and seemed to fix the problem as the leaks stopped. I really like that they had a camera to show me the damage.
Magic did a nice job on my roof and siding. They used premium materials as promised. They also completed the roof in one day at a fair price. Provided a GAF backed warranty as well.
Magic did a terrific job. Very professional and reliable. Couldn't have asked for more.
